The Shark Vacuum - Never Loses Suction?

According to the box, the Shark Vacuum never loses suction. Until the day I saw this product, I thought the Dyson Vacuum was the only vacuum to make that claim. After a terrible experience ordering the Dyson online, I settled for the Shark Vacuum. The price difference between the Shark and the Dyson is a whopping $300, but is the cheaper Shark really going to work as well as the Dyson.
